Chelsea McKillip
Human Resources Director
Chelsea grew up in southwest Minnesota where she faithfully attended church but didn’t learn how to have a relationship with God. For years she went through the motions, and she suffered the effects; in high school she ended up in an unhealthy relationship that lasted five years, and when it came to an end, she hit rock bottom. Her mom worried for her physical and mental health, and after helping her daughter receive professional support, she sent Chelsea to the LifeLight Music Festival in Sioux Falls in 2004. Over the course of the weekend, seeing so many people on fire for Christ, Chelsea found Jesus amidst her dark mental state, and her life was changed forever.
That didn’t mean life was smooth sailing from there on, however; Chelsea would later go through a painful divorce, have a son born with a life-changing genetic disorder, and experience a high-risk pregnancy with twins that landed her in the hospital for months (all three survived!).
Looking back on the toughest points of her life, Chelsea says, “If it wasn’t for God, I wouldn’t be here. God will take care of you—he has a plan, and each hiccup got me where I am today. I just want to shout it from the rooftops!”
Filled with the joy of the Lord, Chelsea is grateful to share the same faith as her husband, enjoy time with her four beautiful children, and support a ministry like Collision through her work in Human Resources. Chelsea states there is nothing she’d rather do than put her skillset to use through Collision to help make the next generation stronger than ever in Christ.
