Ashley Daly
Social Media Manager
Brought up in a home with a culturally-Catholic dad and atheistic mom, Ashley has always worn the “Christian” label but says she was really “less than lukewarm”—until a few years ago, that is, when Ashley’s mom came to know Christ after a friend shared the gospel with her. Their family started attending church, and things began to change.
The year 2020 was a catalyst for Ashley. With the uncertainty that surrounded the covid-19 outbreak, relying on political leaders for guidance didn’t seem to cut it anymore; Ashley wanted something deeper. God responded to that yearning and inspired her through a Christian artist on social media to take her faith in Jesus seriously. She decided to read the Bible regularly and discovered its deep truth, which brought her comfort and fulfillment; instead of relying on society’s changing morals, she could depend on God’s unchanging Word.
When Ashley’s life changed in the most eternal and significant way, intense spiritual attacks began raining down. Referring to 2022 as “the best and worst year of my life,” Ashley recalls her family getting attacked by the enemy with emotional and physical ailments throughout the year and losing her close relatives, including her aunt and uncle. She says it felt like a constant battle was waging in her life and in the lives of those closest to her. As a believer, she recognizes that spiritual warfare is a guarantee and takes comfort in Christian community and God’s Word when things get tough. John 16:33 is especially encouraging to her: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Ashley is excited to use her creative skills on the Collision team to help tell the story of how students are living out their faith and sharing with others on a daily basis.
